- Instructions on how to enter this competition form part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

- Competition runs from 10.00am, Tuesday 1 April 2014 and closes at 5.00pm Wednesday 30 April 2014.

- Multiple entries per person are permitted.

- To enter you must do the following:

- Submit no more than 1,000 words of text and up to 5 images at https://federationstory.com/upload-your-own-story/
- Select ‘Writers Competition’ when completing ‘How did you hear about us?’

- Entry is open to all Australian residents aged 18 years and over at the time of entry.

- Employees, contractors and suppliers of Fed Square Pty. Ltd and Melbourne Writers Festival and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this competition.

- Entries will be judged by Mike Shuttleworth, Melbourne Writers Festival Schools’ Program Director & Program Manager, between 1 May to 8 May at the office of Melbourne Writers Festival. The Judges’ decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. Judging will be by quality and creativity of the entries. Chance plays not part in determining the winner.

- The winner will be notified in writing via email by 5.00pm, Friday 9 May and published on Fed Square’s Facebook, Twitter and E-Newsletter and MWF’s E-Newsletter by 30 May.

- The promoter, its agents, affiliates or representatives will not be liable for any lost, late, or misdirected entries.

- The total prize value is approximately $800. The prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be taken as cash.

- All entries become the property of Fed Square Pty. Ltd. and will be published to federationstory.com and may be used for promotional purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant.
