It was very dangerous but he managed to survive. As he grew up to an adult and had his own kid (my Grandfather) he decided he was going to move to Australia to start his own business on a farm growing apples but also for Bruno’s safety.
When my Grandfather was about 12 years old he was playing soccer with his friends and he saw this rock (or so he thought) so he picked it up and saw it wasn’t a rock it was a Land Mine! So he put it down and slowly walked away but then it blew up, and a big piece of metal went in his eye and ever since he’s been blind in his right eye.
My Great Grandfather finally came to Australia and has his own business growing apples, washing apples and then selling them for money. What makes me proud to be Australian is that my Great Grandfather came here to start his own business to make money to take care of the family.
I love all ball sports but mostly AFL and Soccer so I’m proud of how sporty they are. I’m also proud to be Australian because Australia is very clean ad friendly.
I like living in Melbourne because the people are very friendly and they have nice shopping centres and also they are very multicultural. The shopping centres are clean and big, they have every thing you need within 100m. Learning about my family history has made me realise how lucky I am to be Australian.
