Merline McGregor is part of a fundraising board that is ‘running to Cambodia’.

The Angkor Wat half marathon in Cambodia is a grueling physical challenge, preceded by a 100km bike ride the day before. The run was held on the 1st of December 2013, and was accompanied by high levels of humidity and discomfort.

A small group of women mustered up the courage to join the challenge and fundraise as much as possible to build a kindergarten in Vietnam for the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation.

The CNCF is a global organisation dedicated to protecting children in Vietnam and Mongolia, started by Christina Noble after her own impoverished childhood growing up in Ireland.

Merline and her fellow fundraisers all ran in Run Melbourne 2013 as a ‘warm up’ for the run to Cambodia.
