I landed in Australia on November the 25th, 2012. Blurry eyed from the long haul flight, the sunshine ablaze, I suddenly felt a long way away from home.

However after I had unpacked and made my way down to the beach on a glorious summers day, the homesickness I was feeling quickly began to fade. Walking through the sand, and taking in the ocean air was exactly as I imagined it would be.

Australia is a picture postcard reality, it offers so much more than sun, sea, and sand. It is the land of variety, walking distance from city to surf, thrilling events, iconic attractions, and stunning landscapes.
