Lousie Hannell, owner and manager of the store, set up Chocamama in March of 2015 and since then has welcomed a flocking of Melbournians. Local Turkish delights, candied lollies and fudgy chocolate line the 1950’s themed walls. Each piece of confectionary has been sourced from in and around Melbourne, showcasing some of Melbourne’s finest and flavorsome delights.
Chocamama’s story is true to tradition, creativity and quality. Salted caramel shards, cookies ‘n’ cream rocky road and maple bacon chocolate are some of the great new flavour combinations.
Louise says “Everyone loves there traditional favorites. Our fresh liquorice, flavour packed boiled sweets, lavender rock, and fragrant soft Turkish Delight will not disappoint. People have so many wonderful childhood memories associated with confectionery and Chocamama aims to keep these memories alive and create new ones for the next generation”.
“Our logo is black & white (very Melbourne). Our products are made in Melbourne! Chocamama loves her hometown, Melbourne,” says Louise.
Only having been opened for six months, Chocamama has not let their limited time on the streets of Melbourne, stop them from conquering the chocolate scene. They recently have been featured in the Herald Suns, Top 10 chocolate Spots to visit and were also mentioned in the Melbourne City Food Guide. This instant success is a testament to the fine quality of products and exceptional customer service Chocamama produces.
