My life changed dramatically in 1972 when my father took me to hear the “Giants of Jazz” (with Thelonious Monk and Dizzy Gillespie).

Intrigued by what I heard, I have pursued jazz ever since. I founded the Melbourne Jazz Co-operative in January 1983.

After 30 years of continuous presentations of original contemporary Australian jazz through over 2000 concerts, I still have not lost my passion for this inspiring music.
