The National Institute of Performing Arts is proud to present Ultimate Dance Cause, a charity event for the Make-A-Wish Foundation

On August 3 2014, the National Institute of Performing Arts will undertake a collaboration with Melbourne’s leading dance schools to create the Ultimate Dance Cause for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Ultimate Dance Cause attempts to bring together young artists to create a project in the name of children of a similar age with life-threatening illnesses. Sharing the stage with these talented young artists are the likes of Maddie Peat who made the Top 20 in 2014’s So You Think You Can Dance Australia, as well as YouTube sensations Georgina Hedges and Thomas Dilley. To provide a strong context for the event, guest speakers from the Make-A-Wish Foundation are excited to join us for the evening.

The night is about both the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and those involved in Ultimate Dance Cause, achieving a shared goal of enriching the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Together with the participation of performing arts schools and dance companies as well as guest performers from around the country, all of whom have donated their time and talent for the event, all proceeds will be going directly to the foundation. As directors of the National Institute of Performing Arts, we believe it is imperative to teach young performers that their hard work can make a difference; it is possible to make a child’s wish come true.

The Ultimate Dance Cause is founded on three objectives:

– To raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundations, with all proceeds of the event going directly to the Foundation
– To create a non-competitive platform for performers to collaborate in a professional environment and showcase talented young artists preparing to break into the performing arts industry
– To raise awareness of not just the Make-A-Wish Foundation but of the battles families living with children with life-threatening illnesses face on a daily basis, particularly for young artists.
