Lost but Found

KMIEC_BIFB13_4-355x230

Here is a collection of beautiful old photographs I found at an auction in Ballarat, Victoria last year.

These photos were taken by an unknown Australian female photographer spanning from 1904 until the 1960’s. I am trying to find who she was.

Attached is a portrait of her with her dog. She worked as a Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) nurse and travelled to Malaysia where her (friend/brother/husband?) Walter worked as a radio telegrapher. She has also travelled to Niagara Falls, San Francisco on the SS Orduna, Hawaii, Darjeeling – India, many paces in England including Wimbledon tennis tournament in 1951 and the Olympics in China in the 50’s. She has also photographed Australian Soldiers in the Peace Procession in London in 1919, photographed the Imhof family in the States, worked in a Balwyn “Highlow” House for returned WWI soldiers and there is also a wedding photograph from a photo studio in Mildura. She also has a portrait of Mrs Holt.

As a professional photographer and a collector, I cannot let these photographs go forgotten, undiscovered, unnamed.

Please help me find her name and her history.
