Wayne from Lancaster in Victoria is a keen fisherman, he caught this 54 pound Murray cod while trawling with a hard-body lure on the Goulburn River.

Wayne is a regular ‘fish magnet’ and is very tight-lipped about his many secret fishing spots that have proved very productive over the years.

He certainly knows his craft and employs skill, expertise and a lot of patience to land some beautiful catches as this photo of his 110cm cod displays.

After this photo was taken Wayne released his catch safely back into the river where this magnificent specimen lives to fight another day.
