I was born in Melbourne and grew up in Greensborough. I have an older brother and sister and went to school in Montmorency. Today, I study journalism at RMIT and I have a keen interest in fashion and sustainability.
For me, clothing as an expression of the self is more important than fashion as a consumer driven industry. I believe in having fun in what you wear. For that reason, I love op shopping, vintage clothes & creating a personal style, rather than conforming to trends.
I feel that fashion lends itself to a really beautiful use of language, because it is such a visual medium. I write a lot about vintage clothing, op shopping and sustainable fashion, and I find the concept of up cycling intriguing.
A fashion blogger I admire is Suzie Bubble (Susanna Lau – a British fashion blogger). She has a really eclectic sense of style, which I appreciate. She also has an insightful moral approach to the industry. I like to support local Melbourne labels, including Gorman, Lady Petrova and Kuwaii.
One day I would love to write a book. Ultimately, I want to be able to write about the things that are important to me, like sustainable design, music and creative expression. And I think Melbourne is the perfect place to do this.
