FASHION CONVERSION is Melbourne’s newest shopping event where you’ll find pre-loved premium fashion items direct from style-setters’ wardrobes.

Based around the core value, that style lasts a lifetime, Fashion Conversion gives beautiful pre loved designer garments a second life.

Created and directed by fashion enthusiast Jordana-Lee Pearce (pictured above), this fashion project promotes a sustainable way to shop and sell. Hundreds of some of the most sought after pieces, selected from Australia’s favorite bloggers and fashion insider’s, wardrobes are now available for purchase, without the hefty price tag.

“I started Fashion Conversion because I want to tell the stories of items and highlight the connection that women have with pieces they own, and also to give accessibility (financially, physically and sustainably) to high-end designer items.” Jordana says.

Jordana founded Fashion Conversion, a year ago after realizing there was a gap in the market, a lack of story telling, a missing connection.

“The main things behind clothes, are the story behind them, there is a connection people can develop with their clothes.

“I created this to create an impact in the fashion world. I really believe that consumerism is compromising quality and respect for a product.”

Fashion Conversions first event took place between August 7th- August 9th 2015 and was hosted by Allpress Studio’s (84 Rupert St, Collingwood). With a beautiful event space, stylish decor and fabulous designer items – this was not a typical warehouse sale.

Wall to wall designer pieces flourished the large warehouse studio, to create a beautiful and stylish premium-shopping event. Shoppers were embraced with bright large walls, high ceilings, music, drinks and of course copious amounts of designer fashion. Art Club Concept, assisted in the styling of Allpress Studio with eccentric decks, geometric vases and stunning art pieces.

“I welcome labels such as Australian favorite Cameo, Finders Keepers, Sass and Bide all the way up to major high end designer brands like Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga.

“I want to reconnect consumers and fashion lovers with mid to high end independent local and internally designers, rather than support the commercial mass produced consumer retail brands,” Jordana says.

The garments consigned with Fashion Conversion are inspected and verified; only garments of excellent condition are accepted to be sold to the public.

“We have received enormous support and interest from Instagramers, fashion bloggers and fashion enthusiasts, with many different types of sellers offering their pieces to the event, which is great because it means there is a wonderful variation in items and something to suit all tastes.”

For the future Jordana has high hopes and large dreams of achieving world reselling domination.

“Our event and brand essence will remain consistent and prominent regardless of how big the business grows!”
