Architecture is an important part of Federation Square with its iconic buildings being one of its eye catching features.

While the Square itself is an architectural marvel, it also often showcases the innovative work of other Victorian architects. The current exhibition is the Victorian Architecture Awards Exhibition, which showcases entries for the 2015 Architecture Awards.

Presented by the Australian Institute of Architects, the exhibition flows through the Atrium at Federation Square using photo boards collaborated by architects throughout Victoria. The boards each have a theme, such as small project architecture, heritage architecture, interior architecture, and many more.

The photos allow for public recognition and promotion of the architects involved so that they can continue their unique work.

Walking through it is easy to see why so many people are fascinated by architecture. The many facets of the work are eye opening as architecture can be seen as more than just designing the outside of buildings.

As people walk by they are clearly in awe of the different works and how they have come about and take the time to stop and look at each individual board.

The exhibit is a fascinating look into how architecture is really changing the Australian landscape and contributing to society in a beautiful way.
