Being Indian and being Australian are like the two eyes on my face – if you blind me in one eye, my whole purpose in life will be knocked off balance.
When I moved to Australia with two suitcases, I took it as a very light decision. I had spent the last five years in Tokyo and thought it was time for a move.
It may not be a common dream, but ever since I was in South Korea growing up. I did not know that this dream would grow stronger and become a reality in the end.
My dancing years
Dancing has been a major aspect of my life since I was 2, it has made me who I am today
In late 1994, a Singapore Airlines flight took us from Dhaka to Tullamarine, with rain falling down by the bucket-load when we disembarked.
In 1999, Tim McCallum was chosen as one of eighteen talented performers to attend Australia’s leading performing arts university.
My family immigrated to Australia in 1996, not knowing a single person or family they set out for new opportunities and a better life for me and my two sisters.
I was born in Box Hill on the 28th of March 1997.
